About me

?????????????????????????????

I’m Clive Ridgway and thanks for dropping by my website.

Residing in Bedfordshire in the UK I spent many years as a paramedic honing my cynicism and dark sense of humour.

My first three books, written under the name Clive Mullis, are light-hearted fantasy detective story set in the fictional City of Gornstock. In Banker’s Draft, the first novel, there has been a murder, and Cornwallis has been called in to solve the crime, but in Gornstock, things are never quite as they seem.

Scooters Yard, my second Gornstock novel, is another detective story where the police have a radical rethink, thinking the unthinkable, which has unexpected results.

Under Gornstock, the third novel, is a detective story where the brand new transport system is suddenly under threat.

The Richard Hopgood Investigations.

A River of Retribution, under the name of Clive Ridgway, is set in 1741 London. A body found in the Thames leads Richard Hopgood to a group plotting rebellion.

A Small Matter of Importance is the second in the series. London 1741 and a Dutchman is murdered leading Hopgood into the world of smuggling.
